Steve McQueen’s film for Burberry

Burberry’s latest TV campaign was shot by Oscar-winning director Steve McQueen.

“Traditional yet irreverent, elegant without being pristine” is how Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative and Chief Executive Officer of Burberry, describes the brand’s newly launched fragrance for men, Mr. Burberry.

The fragrance is a collaboration between Bailey and esteemed perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, who worked together to create a scent that they thought encapsulated the essence of London. The eau de toilette features classic scents with earthy hints (including notes of birch leaf, nutmeg oil and cedar wood) and comes packaged in a bottle that was inspired by Burberry’s famous trench coat.

The steamy TV campaign (above), which was shot by Oscar-winning director Steve McQueen, stars actors Josh Whitehouse and Amber Anderson, who are on a romantic break in London.
