Last night (and till the wee hours of this morning), amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, celebrated its fourth annual fundraising gala in Hong Kong’s Shaw Studios, in the presence of distinguished celebrity and society guests.
Cathy Lee, goodwill ambassador of Chi Heng Foundation and devoted patron of numerous charities in Hong Kong, and American pop artist and designer Kaws were honoured during the 2018 gala for their exceptional contributions to the global struggle against HIV/AIDS. Last year’s honoree and founder of the amfAR Gala Hong Kong event series, Pansy Ho served as Honorary Chair this year. The cocktail reception, dinner and live auction (conducted by Simon de Pury and Shally Lin) is bound to be the most talked-about event of the year – so far.
The night was capped by multiple Grammy award-winning pop superstar Kylie Minogue, who performed a medley of her chart-topping hits. It was also Grammy nominee singer and songwriter Tove Lo’s first time performing in our fair city.
As amfAR Hong Kong guests are only just starting to rise after an evening of charitable festivities, we’ve done some social stalking and selected a few images from Instagram that best showcase last night’s epic festivities. Cue the best and most lavishly dressed.
