Louis Vuitton launches Fashion Eye books

The French brand has released a series of photography books – each focusing on a particular city – just in time for the Christmas holidays.

If out of ideas for this year’s holiday travel, put aside the worn-out guides and heavy online research for now. Louis Vuitton, which incidentally makes its own range of travel guides, has come up with a collection of inspirational tomes to help with the initial brainstorm. Called Fashion Eye, this series of books was unveiled earlier this month.

Each book in the series evokes a city, region or country through the eye of a fashion photographer. This approach allows an intriguing glimpse into wardrobes around the world – and the clothes, of course, provide countless insights into each destination’s history, culture and identity. This series begins with five titles: Fashion Eye Miami by Guy Bourdin, Fashion Eye Paris by Jeanloup Sieff, Fashion Eye Shanghai by Wing Shya, Fashion Eye California by Kourtney Roy and Fashion Eye India by Henry Clarke.
