Last night Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman, who's been an Omega ambassador for more than a decade, introduced the brand's latest watch at an intimate dinner in the Chinese capital.
Kidman hosted the event at Capital M, a rooftop restaurant that has sweeping views over Tiananmen Square and many of the city's major landmarks. Among the guests were actress and singer Qin Li and the Swiss ambassador to China, Jean-Jacques de Dardel.
While the assembled VIPs admired the view with a pre-dinner drink, many of them inspected and tried on the brand's new watch, the Omega Constellation Petite Seconde. This 27mm women's timepiece features a white mother-of-pearl dial, diamond hour markers and is powered by a master chronometer movement.
But once dinner started, all eyes were on Kidman, who sat at a central table flanked by Omega CEO Raynald Aeschlimann. Speaking to Prestige before the dinner, Aeschlimann said: "I think Nicole represents what we like – she's a person that has a big charisma, she does a lot to help others, she's beautiful and intelligent. And she's worked with us for over 10 years now, so she's like part of the family."
