Chief Executive and Chief Investment Officer
As chief executive and chief investment officer of Fullerton Fund Management, Manraj Sekhon oversees an investment specialist with $12 billion in assets under management at the end of September 2013. He joined the Temasek Holdings unit in 2011, bringing at the time 17 years of investment experience, including 15 years managing global equities, to Fullerton, most recently as Henderson Global Investors' director and head of International Equities. Under his leadership, 2013 saw the launch of the Fullerton Total Return Fund in collaboration with DBS, the first balanced product that allowed retail investors to tap the fund manager's institutional investment capabilities. This followed the launch two months earlier of two mutual funds targeted at retail investors. Collectively called the Fullerton Dynamic Strategies Funds, one is tailored to investors with "aggressive" risk profiles and the another, to those with "balanced" risk profiles. Going forward, Sekhon said in November that Fullerton will increase its exposure to China, encouraged by its progress in economic reform. The company will simultaneously cut its exposure to the Indian market where economic reform has been "disappointing".
