As the new CEO of Singapore Tourism Board, Yeo holds the reins at one of Singapore's key service sectors. He begins his tenure in a strong position —Singapore was last year named Asia's Top Convention City for the 10th consecutive year. The International Congress and Convention Association accolade comes after a stellar year for Singapore tourism: Arrivals reached 13.2 million in 2011, a 13% on-year increase, while tourism receipts hit $22.2 billion, up 17%. STB forecasts $23 billion to $24 billion in tourism receipts and 13.5 million to 14.5 million visitor arrivals for 2012. Yeo comes to STB having served as deputy secretary (Development) in the Public Service Division of the Prime Minister's Office, and as CEO and dean of the Civil Service College. He played a key role in building whole-of-government capacity for innovation, service delivery and strategic planning at PSD.
