Screen Stars Celebrate at the Asian Film Awards

We were there to see a host of glammed-up stars and starlets of Asian cinema gather to celebrate the 11th Asian Film Awards (AFA) at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

Stars of all stripes looking their glamorous best turned out in force for the 11th Asian Film Awards (AFA) at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Organised by the Asian Film Awards Academy, the awards were distributed to talents across the region; Best Film went to I Am Not Madame Bovary (China) and Best Director was Na Hong Jin for The Wailing (South Korea), while Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano won Best Actor for his role in Harmonium (Japan). The Best Actress award went to actress Fan Bingbing of China for her role in I Am Not Madame Bovary; Best Supporting Actor went to Hong Kong actor Lam Suet for his role in Trivisa (Hong Kong); and South Korean actresses Moon So Ri and Kim Tae Ri were named Best Supporting Actress and Best Newcomer respectively, for their roles in The Handmaiden (South Korea). To top it all, Hong Kong filmmaker Tsui Hark accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award.
