1. ALPHA-H

LiquidGold_100ml%20%28new%29

Origin: Australia
The Brand: The results-driven skincare brand is headed by Michelle Doherty, who had battled chronic cystic acne in her teens and 20s. It was in her pursuit of relief from the acne that she first discovered the brand; impressed by its products, she bought the company. The brand is known for its active ingredients that are low in pH level; when absorbed by the skin's cell membranes, these ingredients help to restore a golden glow to even the most lacklustre skin.
Cult Favourite: Its star product is a no-rinse peel called Liquid Gold that contains cosmetic-grade glycolic acid, liquorice extract and silk proteins. The brand recommends using it in the evenings every alternate day.

2. DR SEBAGH

Dr%20Sebagh%20Instant%20V%20Lift%20cut%20out%20NEW%20131062

Origin: France
The Brand: The skincare line was launched in 2000 by Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh, a University of Paris trained cosmetic surgeon and expert in medical anti-ageing. He first made his name by being one of the few doctors in the 1990s who could improve the state of one's skin without going under the knife — instead, he used a combination of Botox, collagen and vitamin injections. Sebagh, who has practices in London and Paris, counts the likes of Cindy Crawford and Kylie Minogue as clients.
Cult Favourite: The Dr Sebagh Instant V Lift boasts more than 10 active ingredients including extracts of plankton, narcissus bulb and yeast. The serum is said to immediately tighten skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Use twice daily before your day or night moisturiser.

3. TATA HARPER

ResurfacingMask

Origin: USA
The Brand: The brand's skincare and cosmetics range are formulated by its eponymous founder who utilises mainly natural ingredients that are grown on her family-owned farm in Champlain Valley. Products are made in small batches to ensure freshness.
Cult Favourite: Tata Harper's Resurfacing Mask injects new life into dull skin by functioning just like a skin peel. Containing pomegranate enzymes and French pink clay, the mask helps to get rid of dead skin cells and minimise the size of pores to give you a rejuvenated appearance.

4. FAUX FAYC
Fauxlash%20Mascara%20Duo

Origin: Singapore
The Brand: Established only a year ago, home-grown beauty brand Faux Fayc has garnered a following through word of mouth, its participation in pop-up shop events and its Instagram account. Its founders Yuan Ng and Eileen Poh — whose backgrounds are in the marketing and beauty industries — work with laboratories in the US and Canada on the formulation of their products.
Cult Favourite: Fauxlash Mascara Duo, the brand's debut product, gives the same wide-eyed effect as false eyelashes. Each set comprises a tube of Transplanting Gel and a tube of Natural Fibres. After applying your regular mascara, add a coat of gel followed by the fibres to give your lashes extra volume and length.

5. CHARLOTTE TILBURY

WONDERGLOW

Origin: Britain
The Brand: Started in September 2013, this beauty brand is the brainchild of make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury whose celebrity fans include A-listers Jennifer Lawrence and Victoria Beckham. In April this year, she was awarded Best New Brand and Best British Brand at the CEW UK Beauty Awards.
Cult Favourite: One of the brand's bestsellers, the WonderGlow is a make-up base formulated with the Fluorescent Core Light Diffuser. This ingredient helps skin to absorb light and then channels it out to give skin a desirable luminosity, at the same time hiding its imperfections.

6. HACCI

soap80gPackage

Origin: Japan
The Brand: A line of beauty products that combines honey with effective skincare ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and silk peptides in its formulation, Hacci was launched in 2003 by Hitomi Mizutani. An advocate for
the benefits of honey, the founder hails from
a family that has owned and run an apiary for
the past century.
Cult Favourite: Used with a mini netted
bag, the brand's Honey Soap produces a rich
lather when rubbed between the hands under water. Unlike regular soaps which dry out the skin, it moisturises and whitens skin, and even treats pimples.
