Making its global debut on March 1 at the 86th International Geneva Motor Show is the DB11, Aston Martin’s newest addition to its well-loved DB family. And though many weren’t in Geneva, supercar aficionados in Singapore had the privilege of seeing the unveiling of the DB11 right here on our shores.
Timed together with the launch in Geneva, the car was revealed to its Singapore audience — the only other market to get a glimpse of the car “in the flesh” — at approximately 9:30pm at Aston Martin’s new showroom on Leng Kee Road to over 200 guests and VIPs. The fiery orange car was uncloaked by Patrik Nilsson, Asia Pacific regional director for Aston Martin, and Pang Cheong Yan, managing director for the Prestige division at Wearnes Automotive.
The DB11 is expected to be available in Singapore at the end of this year.
This newest Aston Martin will boast a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine. With a lighter and stronger aluminium body, the DB11 is touted to be “the absolute embodiment of what an Aston Martin should be”, according to CEO Andy Palmer.
