In this week’s online exclusive, we introduce three salons all grooming-savvy gents should visit during Movember

Men, that joyful and merry time of year has rolled around again. We’re not talking about Thanksgiving or Christmas but of the whole hallowed month of Movember, when you traditionally try to outdo your friends and impress the ladies by growing the biggest, bushiest moustache that you can muster.

Although it’s easy to get carried away in the race to raise money for prostate cancer charities (remember, boys, this moustache-growing marathon is all for charity), it’s also important not to forget to take care of your brand new facial hair. This can be a daunting task at home, so we recommend taking advantage of these treatments offered by three of the best barbers in town.

Mandarin Barber

To show their support for Movember, the Mandarin Barber is offering ‘Mo Bros’ a complimentary trim throughout the month if they show their official Movember participation certificate. To accompany the men’s treatments, The Mandarin Salon is also offering a “Pash Rash” facial to the “Mo Sistas” who are bravely enduring stubble burn for the month.

Gentlemen’s Tonic

To motivate men to look after their moustaches, Gentlemen’s Tonic is offering 10-minute trims for the whole of November in return for a voluntary donation to the Movember campaign. Local celebrities and Movember ambassadors Alex Lam and Ryan Hui are big supporters of Gentlemen’s Tonic, so you know your ‘tache will be getting one of the best treatments in town.

The Strand

If you sign up online to join The Strand Movember Team, then you’ll get absolutely free moustache management throughout the whole month of November. As the team leader is Lee Stephens, The Strand’s permanently moustachioed resident barber, we reckon you’ll be in very safe hands indeed.
