2. For motor heads: Bentley in Dubai, New York and Istanbul
Translating its top-quality level of comfort and luxury of its cars to hotel rooms, the latest Bentley suite at The St. Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor City is inspired by the bespoke craftsmanship of the Mulsanne. The 195-sq-m hotel room is decked with a blend of cream and neutral tones against rich wood finishes, elegant marble floor and leather accents. The entrance features Bentley-painted walls with polished steel detailing and sleek walnut veneer ceiling, similar to the interiors of its cars, the living room is fitted with an LED chandelier that takes inspiration from the headlights of the Musalnne, while the two camel hide ottomans come with Bentley's signature diamond quilting. Other designs inspired by the automaker include the iconic matrix grille on the carved textured carpets, fluted Bentley leather walls in the master bedroom and bedside tables with the Mulsanne Speed wing emblem. The suite is also decorated with artworks and sculptures reminiscent of the English marque. Other Bentley suites available are also located at The St. Regis New York and The St. Regis Istanbul. Thankfully, this is a permanent fixture at the hotels.
3. For American football fans: Dallas Cowboys in Texas
Come Summer 2017, American upscale hotelier Omni Hotel & Resorts will be opening a new property in Frisco, Texas — and it will be dedicated to the professional American football team, Dallas Cowboys. Rightly so, since the Omni Frisco Hotel will be located at the team's headquarters and training facility. Each room will be decorated with a strong influence to the all-American sport, with the stitching in some of the furnishings, including pillows, desk chairs and headboards, to take inspiration from a football, while bed pillows will feature grommets from football helmets of yesteryear. The colour theme of the rooms will take on light blue and silver, similar to those on the Cowboys' uniforms, while the throw blanket and drinking glasses will be etched with the team's star emblem. The first luxury hotel in Frisco will be built adjacent to the 12,000-seater event centre and will house 300 rooms, including a meeting space, a ballroom and rooftop pool.
