Ong Tiong Guan is CEO of the newly incorporated Keppel Infrastructure, where parent Keppel Corp has consolidated its resources to invest in, own and operate competitive energy and infrastructure solutions and services. The company holds Keppel Energy (KE) and Keppel Integrated Engineering (KIE), where Ong was previously managing director and deputy chairman respectively. Ong takes the top spot at Keppel Infrastructure with 25 years in the energy industry under his belt, spanning everything from engineering and contracting, to investment and ownership of energy assets. He started with Jurong Engineering as a design engineer in 1987 and went on to hold senior management positions in Foster Wheeler Eastern, the Sembawang Group, and CMS Energy Asia before joining Keppel Energy as executive director in 1999. Keppel Infrastructure has three main areas of focus: to grow the company's existing power and gas business; leverage the company's Waste-To-Energy (WTE) technology to develop, own and operate WTE facilities; and provide technology solutions, and seek out complementary opportunities in the energy value chain.
